MAGGIE'S 26th BIRTHDAY : Even though Maggie has moved a long way away, her friends in Alaska and the keepers from the Alaska Zoo still remember her. With the help of the folks at PAWS in California those who attended her birthday party was able to see Maggie on a large screen TV as she was eating her 'birthday treats' down there. MAGGIES 24th BIRTHDAY : Maggie celebrated her birthday by painting a new canvas which was raffled off to one lucky zoo patron. Her birthday cake consisted of a layer of hay, topped with a sheet pan sized 'glob' of jello, some watermelon slices, and carrots. All this was topped off with 3 cans of whipped cream. Additionally she had 2 big gift wrapped boxes that contained more hay, and hidden within the hay was M&M's, peanuts and some coconuts.
