FUR RONDY 2001 : Fur Rondy is our mid-winter carnival time. In the old days trappers would come in to town to sell their furs, pick up more supplies, shower, shave and socialize. Rondy takes place in Feb. and now includes sled dog races, snowshoe baseball, fur auctions, carnival rides, a beauty contest and many other fun events. It is also one of the largest winter festivals in North America.
