Due to inclement weather for the Bye Bye Birdie event on Sept. 8th, the eagle release had to be postponed. Today, Sunday the 9th the weather broke long enough for the Anchorage Bird Treatment & Learning Center to release 2 eagles from their property which sits along Rabbit Creek Road just above Potter Marsh.

Gov. Sarah Palin and her children attended the hastily put together realease and assisted in sending the 2 eagles back into the wild.
