Today I had the opportunity to join Ed Wood (snow machine driver) and Jeff Barnhart (musher) as they did a training run at the Tozier Track, on the Exxon Open course in particular.

From the point that I have the dogs in view I'm sitting backwards on the snow machine trying like crazy to keep the team in the view finder. It's not as easy as it looks. Trust me.

As a photographer and a spectator I have a new appreciation for both the dogs and the mushers after seeing the type of course they go thru.
